One World, Many Stories: We are heading to France this week! Come with us and enjoy crafts anytime on Monday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., French Games at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and Story Hour at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Registration for summer reading is ongoing.

You Are Here: This week, we will be having a Foreign Food Tasting on Tuesday, July 5, at 2 p.m. Pre-registration is required, please call the library at (989) 845-3211. Teen summer reading registration is ongoing.

The River Rapids District Library Board of Trustees will be meeting this Wednesday, July 6, at 6:30 p.m. Public is welcome!

We are again participating in the Park & Read Program through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Park and Recreation and the Library of Michigan. Visit the library to borrow a book and a one-day vehicle permit good at any Michigan State Park and Recreation Area. Many parks will have hammocks available for Park & Read participants so you can fully enjoy a great book in Michigan’s great outdoors. Stop in to the library check out a pass. You will get a certificate good for a oneday park entrance to be used within the next seven days. Grab a book, pick a park and enjoy a relaxing day of outdoor reading!

Book Discussion Group is reading The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf. We will be meeting Wednesday, July 20 at 7 p.m. Stop in and pick up a copy to enjoy. Bring a friend; there will be yummy refreshments!

The Michigan DNR “Park & Read” free one day passes to Michigan State Parks are available at the library. Please stop and ask for your free pass at the circulation desk.

The library will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Summer hours of operation are: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday – CLOSED (now thru Labor Day).
