Book Discussion Group: Our selection for the March book discussion is The Invention of Wings by Susan Monk Kidd. Stop by the library and pick up a copy then join us on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. for discussion and refreshments!

Story Time: We still have a couple openings available for our Tuesday morning Toddler Time story hour which begins at 10:30 a.m. Former Kindergarten teacher Janet Godfrey leads the children in stories, songs and simple crafts.

Fundraisers: The Chesaning Area Friends of the Library have their 2017 Reading Between the Vines tickets on sale. This event will be held on Saturday, April 8. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. All tickets are available at the library.

Art Show: The Friends of the Library will be holding their annual art fair April 3 – 8. Participants can drop off their entries on Thursday, March 30 from 5 – 7 p.m.

In-Stitches Knitting Group: Our knitting group continues to meet on the second Saturday of each month.

Family Movies: River Rapids Library hosts its Family Movie Day the first Saturday of each month. Patrons are encouraged to wear comfy clothes and bring their own pillows and blankets. Popcorn and drinks are provided.

Winter Hours: Monday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday closed, Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday closed, Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please note: In case of inclement weather, it may be necessary for us to close.

The adult coloring group meets the first and third Friday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon. New members are welcome! The next coloring group will be held on Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m.

The Hook and Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, March 28, at 1 p.m.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday closed.

The Montrose-Jennings Library will hold a Mason Jar Herb Garden class on Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m. Plant herb seeds in a Mason jar and get ideas for a future indoor herb garden. All materials are provided.

The Ashley District Library is open to the public Monday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. We will also be open the first week of April when Ashley Schools are on Spring Break. However, we will not open until 10 a.m. Come in and check out a book or movie!

The next Lego Club will be Thursday, March 16 from 3 – 4 p.m. This is for Grades 1 - 6. Parents are welcome, too.

Our library board will meet on Monday, March 20 in the library conference room. We begin at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome!
