Gypsy festival travels to Chesaning

The annual Gypsy Goddess Summer Festival made its way to the Saginaw County Fairgrounds in Chesaning last weekend, June 2 – 3. Shoppers perused the nearly 200 vendors located inside the exhibit hall and outside on the grounds.

Photos by Mandilee Hecht CHESANING – Nearly 200 vendors and thousands of visitors filled the fairgrounds in Chesaning this past weekend during the Fourth Annual Gypsy Goddess Summer Festival, held at the Saginaw County Fairgrounds, 11350 Peet Road.

Two stages with 14 different performers including musicians, belly dancers and more helped to entertain guests.

The occasion also featured a variety of food trucks, as well as events such as free yoga, meditation, hair braiding, body painting, henna tattoos, hand drums and more that were held throughout both days of the festival, June 2-3.

Items such as clothing, jewelry, crystals, candles, artwork, essential oils, vitamins, soaps and much more were available for purchase from vendors who lined both the exhibit hall and outside on the grounds.

The annual event is hosted by Gypsy Mama’s Psychic Fairs owner Lisa Trzil, who hosts psychic and holistic health events several times a year throughout the state.
