Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The St. Charles District Library board will meet on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Please join us for Movie Day on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 10:30 a.m. The library will be showing the movie “Avengers Infinity War.”

The Hook and Needle Group will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m.

The Friends of the St. Charles District Library will accept book donations the first Monday of every month from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Books must be in good condition. We cannot accept text books, encyclopedias, magazines or Reader’s Digest Condensed.

The Adult Coloring Group will meet on Friday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Friends of the Library Meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m.

Community Shred Day is the first Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your documents to be shredded and trash bag or box to take the shredded material home. Patrons are responsible for disposing, loading and unloading of their own shredded material. The library is not responsible for disposing of the shredded material.

Fall Story Time will run Sept. 12 thru Nov. 14, for ages 2 thru preschool on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Please call the library to register your child.

Attorney Carol Thomas Elder Law Seminar will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m.

Writers’ Group – The Montrose-Jennings Library Writer’s Group will meet Thursday, Aug. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. This group is open to the public.

Coffee and Crochet – The Montrose-Jennings Library will hold a Coffee and Crochet program on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. Drop in for some coffee and learn to crochet. You can learn a new stitch or bring your own project from home. We will supply the coffee, a crochet hook and a small ball of yarn. No registration is necessary. This program is for teens and adults.

One-on-one Drop-in Computer Help – The Montrose-Jennings Library will hold One-on-one Computer Help on Wednesday, Aug. 22 and 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. Receive one-on-one help with the internet, social media or Microsoft Office programs. No registration is required. This program is for teens and adults.

Taymouth Township Library’s annual book sale will begin on Monday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. There will be a big selection of hardback, paperback and children’s books. We will also have videos and audiobooks for sale. This sale will run for two weeks, with the last week being our $3 a bag sale. The library will provide the bags which you may fill with as many books as you can fit. There will also be a bake sale for the first two days of the event. The library’s hours are Monday, 2 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library will be closed on Labor Day.
