PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
FOR THE CITY OF MONTROSE
The Montrose City Planning Commission has received an
application and will hold a public hearing for the purpose of
receiving public comments on the proposed rezoning of a
parcel of land which is located in Section 17 of the City. The
parcel is located on the southwest corner of N. Saginaw and
Hickory Streets and is known as 119 N. Saginaw Street,
parcel 60-17-581-012. Further being described as follows:

60-17-400-038, DESCRIBED AS A PARCEL OF LAND BEG S
½ OF LOTS 5 & 6 BLK A VILLAGE (CITY) OF MONTROSE

The proposed rezoning would change the zoning classification
of the above-mentioned parcel from a Central Business District
(CBD) to Single Family Residential (SF-1).

The proposed use of the property pending final approval of
the rezoning would be for the current owner to donate property
and building to local non-profit as a low-income ADA compliant
single-family housing option.

The intent of Single-Family Residential District is to provide
an environment primarily for single-family dwellings on older
platted city lots and other compatible related facilities which
serve the residents in the district. This includes single-family
dwellings including manufactured homes, state-licensed
residential care facilities, foster care homes, essential public
services, public open space, accessory building/structures and
uses customarily incidental to any of the above permitted uses.

Under Section 19.5 of the City’s Zoning Ordinance a special
public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at
7:00 p.m., in the City Hall at 139 S. Saginaw Street., Montrose
MI. 48457. A map of the proposed rezoning may be examined
at the City Hall during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The purpose of this notice is to give you an opportunity
to express your views in support of or in opposition to the
rezoning. You may appear on your own behalf, an attorney may
assist you, you may authorize another person to represent
you or you may express your views in writing. Any written
communication must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday
October 11, 2018 at the City Hall or must be presented to the
Planning Board at the date and time of the hearing.
